Sang-shao Gwendolyn Vaughan was the commander of the Fifth McCarron's Armored Cavalry, with the Capellan Confederation, from at least 3144 until her death in 3151.[1][2]

Personal Appearance and Characteristics[edit]
Vaughan was a tall woman, who had an unceasing drive for excellence, combined with an irreverent streak.[3]

Chesterton[edit]
When the time came for the Capellan Confederation to finally claim Chesterton in December 3144, Vaughan and the Fifth MAC were given the honor, together with the Second Tikonov Guards. Quickly driving off the Twelfth Vegan Rangers, Vaughan was then forced to switch to counter-insurgency through to at least December 3145, which she tried to conduct in a manner which would help win the hearts and minds of the local populous.[1][2]
Failure and Death[edit]
In 3149, Vaughan and the Fifth MAC were garrisoning Liberty, but were forced to withdraw by a Republic Armed Forces counter-offensive. Vaughan blamed a lack of available military equipment due to extensive failures, but Chancellor Daoshen Liao did not accept this excuse, and cited the failure as one reason for his removal of Sang-shao Xavier McCarron from overall commander of the Big MAC in March 3151. Both Vaughan and McCarron protested McCarron's dismissal, but the Chancellor had them both executed for treason, along with their other supporters within the Fourth and Fifth MAC.[4][3]
