Prior to the Clan Invasion[edit]
Hans was a Major in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces prior to his retirement to Maxie's Planet.[1]
The Clan Invasion[edit]
In May of 3050, Clan Jade Falcon invaded Maxie's Planet as part of the Second Wave of Operation Revival. The 305th Assault Cluster led the attack. Retired Hans Remke would take command of the small Maxie's Militia to lead the resistance against the invaders. Remke chose to avoid direct confrontation and launch hit-and-run attacks against the Clan invaders using a Lance of medium BattleMechs including his own Phoenix Hawk.[1]
Despite the Militia's best efforts, the Jade Falcons succeeded in conquering the planet and the major was presumed killed when his 'Mech was destroyed. However, in September of that same year, a small group of 'Mechs began launching attacks against the Provisional Garrison Cluster occupying Maxie's Planet, suggesting that Remke may have survived.[1]
