Description

The Hector Road Train is a civilian Wheeled Support Vehicle that was used in Free Worlds League in the later part of Age of War era. Designed for colonies and underdeveloped worlds, the Hector was intended to be a substitute for rail services and other advanced forms of transportation.
This tractor-trailer vehicle is used to ferry passengers and bulk cargo across worlds where the use of DropShip transports would be too expensive to utilize.[4]

Equipment and Capacities

Built on a heavy wheeled tractor chassis, this massive vehicle is capable of towing up 150 tons of cargo. It is powered by an inexpensive Internal Combustion Engine with eighteen tons of fuel. This setup allows the Hector to move it's various cargo over 2,500 kilometers before needing to be refueled. The vehicle only has three man crew, which take turns driving the vehicle during long hauls. Accommodations for the crew include a small kitchenette and bathroom.
The vehicle has one ton worth of Communication Equipment and a trailer hitch to pull any modules. The tractor has a small twelve ton Cargo Bay with a access door to the rear of the vehicle.[5]

Modules/Trailers

The Hector has a number varying modules (Trailers), which are able to undertake many jobs. With the exception of which type of cargo bay is assigned to it, each module shares the basic Trailer/Module stats listed in the second infobox.

Notes

The Hector Road Train was originally created with older support vehicle creation rules found in Combat Equipment. Equipment Rating and some equipment listed in this article are dated due to lack of updated record sheets and battle value for the vehicle and it's modules. IR Camera for example does not exist in the Total Warfare and was not detailed in older advance equipment/rules. However it was ruled in 2016 by Staff of CGL as Fluff Equipment, which does nothing.[11]

As of this writing, Hector Road Train Tractor/Trailer lack Battle Value 2 and Record Sheets created for this vehicle may only currently be found Handbook: House Marik.
