House Karosas are one of the seven noble families that form the Founding Council of the Aurigan Coalition, traditional rulers of Smithon.[2]

History[edit]
The family had ancestral Lithuanian roots. The family was known for the strength of its academic institutions (medicine, archaeology, science, and engineering), something shown by the fact that most of the Aurigan Colaition's engineers and researchers trained in their academies.[3]

Destruction[edit]
The family was wiped out during the Arano Civil War leaving no obvious heirs to the titles. Lord Alexander Madeira assigned a team of researches to find any surviving family left in 3026.[3] Ema Petrauskas was appointed Planetary Governor of Smithon, including holding the Gallas council seat, at this time.[4]

Family Heirlooms and Holdings[edit]
The ancestral home of the Karosas family was the largest of Smithon V's old Capellan fortresses. The fortress was shattered totally after suffering an extensive artillery bombardment near the end of the Restoration War.[3]
