Inazuma was a Union-class DropShip serving with the Draconis Combine's Seventh Ghost Regiment as of 3150. As such, it was part of the invasion force that struck Emporia, arriving in-system with the JumpShip Shirauki on 3 April 3150 and approaching the planet pretending to be a merchant vessel.[1] Even before touching down it deployed a BattleMech from an altitude of 100 meters, and deployed further 'Mechs to secure the starport.[2]
