The Mako-class corvette Ingrid Bucharev was one of a number of WarShips operated by the reborn Clan Burrock during the Wars of Reaving.[1] The Ingrid Bucharev joined the Clan Burrock touman after traveling to the Tanis system in 3072 as a result of word spreading that the system was a haven for the Dark Caste, the Bandit Caste and the clandestine group known as The Society. Presumably a Bandit-operated vessel prior to its arrival in the Tanis system, the jump that brought the Ingrid Bucharev into the system close to the planet Stacha proved to be the last the Ingrid Bucharev would perform; considered an ancient vessel by this point in time, the seals on the Ingrid Bucharev's helium tanks had been patched innumerable times, and the final jump blew those patched seals irreparably. The Ingrid Bucharev was towed into orbit above Stacha to serve as a defensive station, although she had little by way of functioning weapons by this point; she also served as a hangar deck for a smattering of Bandit-operated shuttles and aerospace fighters.[2]
The Ingrid Bucharev remained in place until late 3074, when forces from Clan Cloud Cobra and Clan Star Adder launched a combined invasion of the system. The Star Adders sent three WarShips, the Aegis-class heavy cruiser CSA Stellar Serpent, the Sovetskii Soyuz-class heavy cruiser CSA Divine Conquest and the York-class destroyer CSA Exodus Ranger, along with no less than seven Galaxies of Star Adder forces - Alpha, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Sigma, Tau and Xi, all under the personal command of Khan Stanislov N'Buta. The Star Adder Watch had identified that something was seriously wrong in the Tanite worlds, and N'Buta was determined to regain control of the system. Invoking a previous agreement with Clan Cloud Cobra, the Star Adder saKhan Hannibal Banacek had persuaded the Cloud Cobras to join the task force, accompanied by another York-class destroyer, the CCS Brimstone, and the Fredasa-class corvette CCS Hell Fury.[3]
The task force arrived in the Tanis system on the 17th of December and the Stellar Serpent, Divine Conquest and Hell Fury quickly attacked and defeated the two defending Burrock WarShips, the CBS Ingrid Bucharev and the McKenna-class battleship CBS Second Coming, securing lanes for the various Galaxies to begin making planetfall.[3]
The Ingrid Bucharev was one of at least three Mako-class WarShips to be operated by the Bandit Caste in the Clan Homeworlds during the Wars of Reaving; the sister ships to the Ingrid Bucharev were the Fuchida, destroyed by forces from Clan Goliath Scorpion at Waypoint 531 near the Deep Periphery nation known as Nueva Castile,[4] and the CBS Stone Crab.[1]
