History[edit]

After a string of bad luck the Iron Knights arrived on Westerhand in May 3042 to participate in the 'Mech games, hoping to win fame to attract replacement warriors and equipment and at the same time attract a new employer.

This did not go as planned. During the first week they made enemies of a local Stable the Ikhwan Stables, which ended with two of their MechWarriors in hospital after a bar fight. The Iron Knights executed a raid against Ikhwan Warehouse but were beaten off, but only after killing the stable's stablemaster. And then as a final insult they decided to challenge the stable to a match on Garringer continent in hopes of gaining the fame they wanted.[1]

The Iron Knights won the fight thanks to the full-scale battles they were still used to. They destroyed the six 'Mechs belonging to Ikhwan Stables, but they didn't look much the winners, losing several MechWarriors, their commanding officer among them.[2]

The unit was disbanded after this disastrous event.[citation needed]
