James Ito was the commanding officer of the Tenth Federated Commonwealth RCT in 3050.[2]

Federated Commonwealth Corps[edit]
Born on Federated Suns planet Bremond,[3] Hauptmann General James Ito commanded the Tenth FC RCT, defending the Draconis border when the Clans invaded. Rotated to Pandora, General Ito and the Tenth had little to no action garrisoning the planet.[4]
Lyran Succession[edit]
The Tenth FC RCT was integrated into the Alliance Guard as the Fifth RCT with General Ito supporting Katherine Steiner-Davion. The now Fifth Alliance Guard was sent to Ft. Louden, and their commander quarreled with the Fourth Davion Guards and their commander, requiring the mediation of the ComStar Precentor on-planet.[3]
Bolan Guards[edit]
The First Bolan Guards was formed from the core of the Fifth Alliance Guards under the command of Leutnant-General James Ito. The First Bolan Guards was formed as a Light Combat Team, while the least experienced personnel from the Fifth Alliance Guards were used to form the nucleus of a sister combat team, the Second Buena Guards. While Ito's move from commander of an RCT to an LCT was effectively a demotion, Ito was sanguine about it, instead viewing the move as a step towards his retirement. Nevertheless, by 3085 the First Bolan Guards were the best of the commands within the Commonwealth Guards, and tipped to be the first command to return to RCT status if resources were made available in the future.[1]

James Ito piloted a captured Clan Thor which had been named Hammerfist.[3]
