James Odom was a MechWarrior, who served with the Kell Hounds, during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Odom had seen enough war and bloodshed to grow cynical, but he secretly hoped he was wrong and mankind would eventually be capable of peace. His attitude caused him to clash with more optimistic people on several occasions, including his lance commander, Nikol Brahe. His disagreements ended with words however and he dutifully followed commands. After the Hounds captured an Arbalest, Odom had the MechTechs heavily customize it which has surprised his opponents a number of times.
During his down time he can often be found at a civilian bar taking in the celebratory atmosphere, though he his a teetotaler himself.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Odom piloted a customized Arbalest BattleMech, serial number WX859-07C, nicknamed "Odom's Hammer". Captured by the Hounds during a post-Word of Blake Jihad raid, it was heavily modified.[1]
