Major General Jeremy McLain was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's LVI Corps from at least 2763 to 2764.[1][2]

History[edit]

A graduate of the War Academy of Mars, McLain sought assignments in the Taurian Concordat for the entirely of his career, due to having had several ancestors who fought in the Reunification War on the Taurian front.

A scholar as well as a solider, McLain had a Ph.D. in History and a Master’s in Anthropology from the University of Chicago on Terra, which allowed him to write several books. His latest tome as of 2764 was Lifting the Veil of Samantha: A Study of the Taurian People during the Reunification War, which highlighted the hypocrisy of both sides of the Reunification War, and resulted in his becoming a divisive figure in both the Star League and the Concordat.[1]

This controversy extended to his superiors in SLDF command, resulting in McLain expecting to receive a demand for his resignation, though that never came. Instead, he was commissioned to write a classified study for SLDF command on history and current state of the Territorial States of the Star League for Deputy Commanding General Aaron DeChavilier. The non-classified aspects of this study was also complied in a further work for publication, The Forgotten: Understanding the Territorial States of the Star League, which was awaiting Star League Intelligence Command review and clearance prior to public release in 2765.

This work, The Forgotten, only survived in incomplete portions in the University of Chicago archives as of 3091 when it was used to inform a historical briefing on Periphery states prepared for the Republic Armed Forces by Brigadier General Evan Falange.[3]
