History
The Kerensky was a Union-class DropShip operated by Clan Nova Cat as part of the 3rd Nova Cat Aerospace Cluster. Under Star Captain Volls, it took part in the Battle of Luthien during the Clan Invasion.[1]
Though there is no information about destroyed Clan DropShips on record, circumstancial evidence—namely that the Kerensky did not partake in the contested landings in a subsequent scenario—suggests it was one of the two Clan DropShips to receive crippling damage.[2]
Notes
- Although described as a Clan vessel, the Kerensky is consistently stated to be Union-class in the Luthien scenario pack. At the time of the book's publication the Union-C-class normally used by the Clans was not yet introduced (Technical Readout: 3057 was first published in 1994, i.e. a year later). It is conceivable though that the Clans may have captured regular Union-class vessels from the Inner Sphere prior to 3052, and deployed such captured vessels in the Battle of Luthien.
