Planetary History

In 2305 the war between the Capellan Hegemony and Sarna Supremacy was in full swing. The Supremacy hired a number of pirate groups from Kluane to harass Hegemony border worlds, forcing the Hegemony to divert troops to protect it's world that had previously been earmarked for assaults on Sarna, the Supremacy capital world. For several months the Kluanian pirates inflicted heavy damage on various Capellan worlds, until the Hegemony persuaded the Chesterton Trade Federation and the St. Ives Mercantile League to join the war on the side of the Hegemony.[1]

The Capellan allies brought enough forces into the conflict to enable the pirates to be tracked and defeated in battle in the Alcyone system, and then the remaining pirate forces were crushed as they travelled to the Aosia system. After the pirates had been defeated, intelligence recovered from the battle in the Alcyone system revealed that some of the pirate groups had been covertly funded by members of the Davion family, the first recorded act of open hostility towards a Capellan Zone state by the future founding family of the Federated Suns.[1]
