History
The DCS Koun was the third trials prototype constructed of the Nagumo-class infantry transport DropShip by the Draconis Combine, and was predicted to enter service in early 3057. The Kibo was being constructed ahead of official approval of the Nagumo class for full-scale production by the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery based on the success of the second-of-class ship, the DCS Kibo, after substantial redesign work to remove the flaws that had resulted in the destruction of the first ship of the class in 3055.[1]
