Leala Banach was a MechWarrior, who served within the Northwind Highlanders' First Kearny Regiment, during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Leala had brown hair and black eyes.[1]
History[edit]
Leala came from a long standing family Northwind family, who had a proud history of service with the Highlanders. Driven by her heritage to join the First Kearny, as of 3133 she served in a Force Assault Lance, under the command of Joel Nguyen.[2]
She was however suspected by some both inside and outside of the Regiment of having advanced based on her attractiveness, rather than her combat skills, in light of her Scottish accent, stunning smile and flirtatious manner. These rumors were however belied by her absolutely lethal ability as a close in fighter. The whispered innuendos did however cause tension with her husband, the First Kearny's chief technician, Morgan Banach.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Leala was known to have piloted a Jupiter BattleMech, serial number JF061-31B, nicknamed "Wailing Banshee". Initially constructed by Clan Jade Falcon, this 'Mech took apart in the liberation of Tharkad during the Word of Blake Jihad, before joining with Stone's Coalition to participate in Operation SCOUR. Its Falcon MechWarrior Tara Helmer, joined the Republic of the Sphere when it was established, but died fighting remnant Word of Blake terrorists on Small World.[1]
