Description
The Leviathan III-Class Heavy Battleship is a large warship design built by Clan Ghost Bear during the later half of the Late Dark Age Era. Begun in 3130s in secret after the events of Gray Monday, the ship was built using the lessons learned from violent battles of the Jihad.
Like previous ships of it's design, the Class still carries an incredibly amount of heavy armor and weaponry, and containing make the design among the largest WarShips ever constructed.
Constructed at the shipyards orbiting Alshain, the ship is geared for space superiority in mind, with increase number of Drop Collars in comparison to past Leviathans designs. While the ship carries a cluster of AeroSpace Fighters for air support for ground force as well screening the ship from enemy spacecraft. A rare mobile HPG is mounted on the ship to allow the vessel to contact friendly HPGs.
Ship is alleged operational status as of 3150 is uncertain due to the secrecy of the project, while Republic of the Sphere military reports notes that the Ghost Bears are working with Raven Alliance in their efforts build the ship and other assets to support it.[2]
Armament
The Leviathan III mounts both capital-grade and conventional weapons, allowing the vessel to destroy larger targets, but also defend itself from lighter AeroSpace Fighters. In comparison past designs, the Leviathan III has it's firepower refocused longer ranged capital weaponry. Sub-Capital Missiles in form of Stingray Missiles have been added to the ship, while number of Anti-Missile System have been increased by with addition of newer Laser-based AMS as part of lessons learned during the Jihad.[2]

Notes
- The Record Sheet for the Leviathan III-Class Heavy Battleship was only released in Experimental Technical Readout: Republic Volume 3, which exclusively electronic pdf only.
- As of this writing, it is unclear what is the actual name of the Leviathan III, aside from it's class variant name. Also, uncertain if more of this ship has been produced beyond the reported first ship.
- The Leviathan III is also has the unique status of being only known "new" Inner Sphere based Warship-Class to be constructed since the mid to late 31st Century.
