The Lexington system was home to at least one habitable world and as of 3152 was located within the Federated Suns.[2]

System Description[edit]

Lexington is located near the Newton and Potwin systems. It lies Spinward from Terra.[2]

Star League Era[edit]

Lexington served as the headquarters of the entire XXXIII Corps (Star League) during the final years of the Star League. There were also massive supply dumps storing matériel for the SLDF as well as an SLDF fort, Fort Ballycastle, built in the center of a vast forest. The trees that were removed for the construction of these facilities were used as decoration around the fort, troop barracks, etc. So the facilities look like something from ancient Terra, but conceal standard SLDF construction. The commanding officer of the 129th BattleMech Division, Major General Dahl, conducted almost nonstop training exercises during his command of the garrison on world.[36]

First Succession War[edit]

Lexington was liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2805-06 during the first major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine,[12] having been occupied by the Combine at some point between 2797[10] and 2804.[11]

During the final years of the Star League, the world of Lexington was home to vast forests of imported Terran trees as well as wide open spaces.[36]
