Official Sites
- Classic Battle Tech: Catalyst Game Labs' very-much alive official website
- CBT's current forums board: Opened 28 May, 2006, the forums has almost 7,000 topics, 160,000 posts and 5,300 members, as of September, 2006.
- CBT's (archived) previous board: Established around 12 July, 2004 and closed almost two years later, this board accumulated almost 43,000 topics, 1,008,000 posts and 4,700 members. While it has been declared that the site will be taken down on 01 December, 2006, an administrator has suggested it is now in a holding pattern and will be brought down at the first sign of causing site problems. This board is a treasure of official and fan-created information.
- Catalyst Game Labs: The official site for CBT's licensed publisher, which details their various gaming lines. Its most advantageous use is for retailers who stock CBT products.
- FASA: CBT's original publisher, closed in 2001. This is provided here only as a memorial to the creators of BattleTech.
- HeavyMetal Software: The official software for Classic BattleTech. The site provides updates on available and forthcoming software, as well as a few downloads provided free by creator Rick Raisley.
- HeavyMetal forums board: In its second incarnation (as of September 2001), these forums are pretty active as far as CBT boards go, though generally centered around fans of the software. As of September, 2006, the forums have over 185,000 articles and almost 1,300 members.
- Official Dutch CBT website: Aims at the small Dutch CBT community.
Fan Sites: Resources
- MechGround : A fan site authorized to display the individual technical readouts for each official unit published by FASA & FanPro. The articles are arranged in a forum-style and you have to register to get in, but the site is invaluable for all BTW Creators and Editors working on unit articles.
- MechWikia: A wiki similar in scope to BattleTech Wiki. As of late September 2006, the site had almost 100 articles and 13 editors.
- Pryde Rock Industries: This site, operated by 'Medron Pryde,' is a large depository of accumulated data, including programs and fan-created material. He seeks out any aid for CBT use, often providing several different fan-created spreadsheets, rules and graphics. His editorials are often insightful. A good first start for someone first entering the CBT world, as well as the old MechWarriors.
Fan Sites: Boards
Battletech-Mercenaries - An online RPG based on the Battletech Universe. Methods of play include PBF and PbEM. If you always wanted to write your fan-fic of a ruthless mercenary trying to make out his living in a Merc Unit, this is the place for you.
