Marcel Thennes was a MechWarrior and Knight-Errant of the Republic of the Sphere during the Dark Age Era.[1]
Personal Appearance[edit]
Thennes had short black hair, blue eyes, and a pale, gaunt appearance.[1]
History[edit]
Born to a wealthy family on Piedmont, Thennes was a sickly child, due to a childhood bout of Chungalomeningitis. This made him withdrawn for much of his youth, with books and holodocumentaries becoming his friends, and fueling his dreams. Travelling to Terra upon reaching adulthood in fulfillment of these dreams, he became fascinated with the martial nobility of the Knights of the Sphere. Overcoming his childhood aliments with years of physical training, he eventually met the minimum entry requirements, and found a Knight to sponsor him as a Knight-Errant. Though MechWarrior training still proved physically grueling for him, he excelled at the intellectual challenges. Remaining a brains-over-brawn man, he was appreciated for his sharp wit, tactical brilliance and strength of character.[1]
As of 3133, Thennes was a member of a Errant Command Lance, commanded by Lotharius Withers. His other Lancemates were Katsu Moriyama and Faelyna Malena.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Thennes is known to have piloted a Wolfhound BattleMech, serial number LA478-128J, which he named Kriegerhund. Manufactured during the FedCom Civil War for the Lyran Alliance, this 'Mech was damaged during the Word of Blake Jihad. Salvaged by Stone's Coalition, after the Jihad it found it ways into the Republic's militia, before serving with the Knights.[3][1]
