Sir Marcus Randall was a MechWarrior and Knight of the Republic of the Sphere during the Dark Age Era.[1][2]

History[edit]

Early Life[edit]

Randall was born in New Taos on Markab, in 3104, to Charles Randall and Helena Randall. The first of three children, he joined the Republic Armed Forces when he turned eighteen years old, and quickly advanced through the ranks based on his aptitude in infantry, vehicle and 'Mech combat.[1]

Markab Special Forces[edit]

In 3126, he was assigned to Markab Special Forces, receiving one of the world's few remaining BattleMechs, and served in a global defense and anti-terror role. Decorated seven times during his Special Forces service, he received the Scarab of Honor, Markab's highest military bravery award. The citation for the award noted that, after ejecting from his 'Mech, he led an infantry attack which resulted in the capture of two illegally modified IndustrialMechs operated by anti-government terrorists.[1]

Knight of the Sphere[edit]

At age twenty-four and based on his exemplary service, Randall was made a Knight-Errant, represent Markab in the Knights of the Republic of the Sphere. Again serving with distinction, after 4 years he was promoted to be a full Knight, one of the quickest ever to receive that honor. He was sponsored by Paladin Gelaina Kelso for the position, and replaced Siyanda Ashanti, who had been recently killed in action. The ceremony in which he was Knighted occurred in Geneva, Terra on 25 July 3132, with the Senator for Markab in attendance, as well as several other Knights then in Geneva.[1]

Two years later, in 3134, Randall was assigned to a Knights Command Lance under its leader Lady Consuela Dagmar, in which he continued to give his all for the Republic.[2][3]

BattleMech[edit]

Marcus Randall was known to have piloted an MAL-XV-A Malice BattleMech, nicknamed Peacemaker.[2]
