Marjorie Stone was the the commanding officer of the FSS Black Bear and the Federated Suns' second naval battle group in 2790.[1]

Vice Admiral Stone, commanding the FSS Black Bear, participated in the Battle of Cholame during the First Succession War. After Admiral Kenneth Jones and the bulk of the Federated Suns Navy accidentally ran into the bulk of the Draconis Combine Admiralty in the Cholame system, Stone received Jones' warnings and maneuvered to assist him. Reinforcing Jones' battle group while simultaneously moving to flank the Combine's fleet, the battle quickly turned into the largest naval action ever fought between the two nations. After six weeks of combat, the Federated Suns fleet had lost ninety-two WarShips, twenty-six JumpShips, 115 DropShips, and virtually all of its aerospace fighters. Despite these losses, and the death of Admiral Jones, the battle did successfully hobble the Draconis Combine's invasion efforts. It was not recorded whether Stone had survived or died during the battle.[1]
