History

Clan Invasion

Maule was conquered by Clan Ghost Bear during Operation REVIVAL in January 3052. The 73rd Battle Cluster deployed the 433rd Supernova Trinary against the defending 6th and 43rd Maule Armored Brigades. While the defending military units were easily wiped out outside the town of Billowing Leaf, and a Provisional Garrison Cluster was left behind to occupy the planet, the populace's subsequent round-the-clock protests outside the Clan administrator's headquarters made life miserable. Unable to imprison everyone on the planet for "treasonous activities," the Ghost Bears eventually gave into the people's grievances and allowed a limited degree of freedom, including travel under Clan supervision. After the end of the Clan invasion, Maule became one of the few planets with allowed regular trade ties to the rest of the Inner Sphere; this also meant it's garrison forces were soon replaced by the 304th Assault Cluster.[1][2]
