'''Duncan Fisher:'''  It’s Jungle mania in Cathay!  This is Duncan Fisher in [[The Jungle]] arena for the last match of The Jungle circuit.  Today, people are competing for who is the arena champion, and the competition looks fierce.  As expected, most pilots have come in their best Assault or Heavy, and they have spent a mother lode on the best weapons C-Bills can buy.  We have…heck, we have so many key players here I don’t know where to start.  It’s anyone’s game, and it’s time to watch the action.  Watch it right here!  Not only is this an arena championship match, but it is the first of the season.  A lot of times, the first championship is a good weather vane for who the big players are going to be in the grand championship.  A good showing here can give a pilot that extra psychological edge needed to go the distance.  It’s going to be one heck of a game.

Solaris VII – The Arena Championships

Solaris VII Championship: The arena championships are open-class competitions. The top-ranked warriors battle in whatever chassis they want. The prize is always tantalizing, and the competition is always fierce. If you place in an arena championship, not matter what your rankings are, you gain entry to the Big Game, the grand championship of Solaris VII. For a rookie, it is your only chance to compete in the biggest game of the year.

The Jungle (Championship)

Duncan Fisher: It’s Jungle mania in Cathay! This is Duncan Fisher in The Jungle arena for the last match of The Jungle circuit.

Duncan Fisher: It’s time, Solaris fans!

Duncan Fisher: Now that was uncalled for! I mean, it isn’t against the rules to gang up on someone on Solaris. That’s just part of the game. But that guy is a rookie with two veterans on him. When you see a stunt like that, you’ve gotta think that there was some collaboration going on.

Duncan Fisher: Kapow! One less ‘Mech on the field.

Duncan Fisher: The field is filled with big names that have big talent. One of the new faces is Spectre, who’s managed to secure a spot in this championship, even though it is his rookie year. He’s become something of an item, and many hope that this underdog can take the prize tonight, but there is some fierce competition out there.

Duncan Fisher: I wonder how the view is from the air. He’s gone!

Duncan Fisher: There is so much to keep track of in one of these games. You have sixteen opponents, any of whom, in a normal game, would be the star. Championship play is frenetic, and, boy, watching the best duke it out is a real treat. Every one of them is giving their all to move up the ladder and maybe take a crack at the grand championship at the end of the season.

Duncan Fisher: He did it again! The field is clearing up a bit, and it has been a great championship so far. I’m sure some are surprised to see Spectre still up and running. At this point, I’d think they’d recognize that this rookie is the real thing. He’s not just lucky down there. He’s making it happen. He’s also a bit of a bookie’s nightmare. Anybody that put a mark on him for making championship has made enough money by now to change lifestyles. I wonder if he can go the distance.

Duncan Fisher: Looks like there’s a lot of fighting for position. One sad thing is that some of a pilot’s best fights are the ones some fans least like to watch. Some of my closest matches, which really defined me as a pilot, got rated very poorly. A lot of fans only want to see their favorite knock some holes fast in their opponents. I prefer matches like these – lots of solid performances and smart playing.

Duncan Fisher: It’s moments like these I live for. A lot of pilots came here today. Now we just have three left, so grab a drink and sit tight. We have some Solaris action going on today!

Duncan Fisher: Sometimes, a fight is all about position. Right now, people are lining up shots, but are mostly on the defensive. You never can tell when situations like this are going to break, and then there’ll be a lot of action on the kill board.

Duncan Fisher: Spectre! He’s amazing! He swept The Jungle! We have a new champion of The Jungle arena. He’s not some fancy seasoned veteran with big company sponsors. He’s come from out of nowhere, and he’s on a roll. In case you’re living under a rock, his name is Spectre. An absolutely phenomenal performance. I can’t wait to see how this rookie does in the grand championship. This is one announcer who is dying to see what comes next. Duncan Fisher, from The Jungle, signing off.
