Overview
A Medipack (sometimes in the notation MediPack) is a common portable medical device contoured to fit snugly to the thigh of a MechWarrior or aerospace pilot. This small, thin box constantly monitors the condition of the wearer and administers a series of painkillers or stimulants to keep them alert and combat-ready. It has storage for up to a dozen doses of medication, which must be replaced once a month whether they have been used or not, and can either plug into the BattleMech through a cockpit power jack or run off an internal battery good for 48 hours.[1] Originally designed for the personal guard of Takiro Kurita the device became soon common amongst any regular army unit.[2]
