Mesillia Allard was the daughter of the Duke of Andurien.

History

By the accounts of the period, young Mesillia was a charming and lovely teen girl. In 2518 she met Kalvin Liao when he visited Andurien on an unofficial visit to the Free Worlds League. Kalvin was smitten by the young lady, who in turn found him attractive but not particularly stimulating. The Duke, determined to not have his line compromised by Liaoist ties, ended Kalvin's suit for his daughter.

Kalvin Liao decided press his suit for the girl after he ascended to the Chancellorship of the Confederation. Between 2520 and 2522 the Chancellor sent no less than 455 official dispatches to the duke asking for Mesillia's hand in marrage. Each dispatch, reportedly, was more aggressive and demanding than the last. All were flatly refused.

In 2523, Liao survived an attempt on his life which he blamed, partially, on Duke Allard. In 2527, Liao's persuit of Mesillia came to a head when he expelled the Free Worlds League ambassador from his court in frustration. The next year the Capellan Confederation dispatched an expeditionary force to take the Duchy of Andurien by force, thus starting the Second Andurien War. It is believed that the fair Mesillia, the Helen of the twenty-sixth century, perished in the fighting over her homeworld.
