Michael Pitgar was owner of Freak Show Entertainment.

History[edit]

Pitgar founded Freak Show Entertainment and by 3064 he was running it as a show-business instead as of the typical Solaris VII Stable, though he would try to lure his fighters telling them he wanted to go legit and became a pure Stable. Its specialty were events, not fights.[1]

He arranged the fights, being only worried on TV Share and audiences, not ever taking into account his MechWarriors needs. He was a selfish businessman, who could play both hands when it was interested for him.[1]

His company had also its own Arena, Grayland Gardens Arena, having apparently purchased the land cheap and used it to host the fights of his stable/enterprise Freak Show Entertainment.[1]

In 3064, he contracted the only Gladiator on his own: David Singh. He was able to this by offering him an slot in a Grand Melee Match he was preparing where twelve MechWarriors were going to fight in the Grayland Gardens Arena and with Mechs from the Light to the Assault Class. This match was going to include top fighters as Walter Bowman, Beatriz da Rosa, and Jürgen Mauer. Though he had double-crossed all participants, having added in secret a thirteenth pilot, Kiichi Omata, who had his full endorsement.[1]

Unfortunately David Singh's victory was against Michael Pitgar's actions, which left them entangled as they needed each other to regain their fortunes.[1]

He then contracted Marcy Kessel to work as a publicist and help the Freak Show Entertainment to increase its rates.[1]

In 18 February 3064, he organized a match between David against four mechwarriors in the Grayland Gardens Arena, going to the point of offering a huge bonus to the MechWarrior who brought David's Grasshopper down. This did indeed even the odds as those four mechwarriors did not cooperate to take David down.[1]

His next challenge for David was a fight against Laura Kidane and her King Crab in The Dam Arena on 5 April 3064. Though it was never confirmed, it seemed sure that Laura Kidane was aware that Michael Pitgar wanted to blew the Dam, and tried to use it, getting into cover in the safest zone for her. Fortunately for David was able to jump and save himself from the trick, and then he shot her from the higher ground he ended in.[1]

He prepared a return match for David in 17 May 3064, against four light 'Mechs: George Adlet in a SPR-5F Spector along three other MechWarriors piloting a Talon, a Flea (piloted by Dankova), and a Scarabus. The fight was in The Harbor arena and they were fighting under the team name The Silly Little Clowns of Death. David, who though was going to fight only George Adlet in his assault 'Mech is very upset, but nevertheless bests the four of them.[1]

Though David Singh's relation with Freak Show Entertainment has completely damaged his reputation, for Michael Pitgar it has been the other way around, his shows getting more coverage and more income for him.[1]

He prepared another fight for David, scheduled in 2 June 3064 in the Grayland Gardens Arena. During the combat, David discovers he is to fight infantryman wearing G12 Tornado Light Power Armor. As he was not a killer, he surrendered, and in the press centers, after the match, he explains how he was blind to his manager and Maskirovka manipulation that lowered his "rating," and explains he leaves the games.[1]

This is a setback for Michael Pitgar, but most probable he was able to keep his company up and running.[citation needed]
