Shiao-zhang Milfeulle Ying-Ye was the commander of the Warrior House Kamata, with the Capellan Confederation, from at least 3085 to 3147.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
Prior to the Capellan-Republic War Ying-Ye was a talented young Pai-zhang, stationed with Warrior House Kamata on Betelgeuse, as the unit was being built up under the guidance of Bodhisattva Gerald Tannoe. While praying in the House's Hall of Relics, Ying-Ye became interested in an partially-destroyed Striker BattleMech, accidentally opening its cockpit hatch when she touched it. As the 'Mech had once belonged to House Master Nicole Erus, Tannoe declared it was a divine sign, and appointed Ying-Ye to lead Kamata.[4]
Ying-Ye, with the Warrior House Kamata, was based on Grand Base as of 3085.[2] In 3145, still in charge of Kamata, she was based on Hobson.[1] While elderly at that stage, and having delegated most of her command responsibilities to younger officers, she was still considered something of a good luck charm and living saint by her troops. She also still continued to take to field in her storied Striker 'Mech.[5]
Still on Hobson in 3147, Ying-Ye tried to hold it against the Federated Suns invasion which formed part of their Operation CERBERUS, but she was too outnumbered to do so. Seeking to use hit-and-run tactics for as long as possible, especially after being told there was no prospect of reinforcements, she eventually retreated off-world once she considered she had sufficiently delayed the invasion force.[3]
BattleMech[edit]
Ying-Ye was known to have piloted a Striker BattleMech through the majority of her career.[4][5]
Notes[edit]
Milfeulle's surname is in some sources, spelled "Ying Ye", rather than "Ying-Ye".
