The Mirach Business Association (MBA) was an alliance of businesses on Mirach, active as of 3135.

Overview[edit]

The Mirach Business Association represented the interests of the business community on Mirach. It lobbied policymakers to implement policies favoring its members.[2]

The MBA was led by a trio of governing officers, headed by a president. As of 3133, the president was communications magnate Marta Kinsolving, with agrobiologist Boris Chin and mining tycoon Benton Nagursky filling out the trio.[3] Member companies at the time included Kinsolving's All World Comm, Nagursky's Nagursky Enterprises, and IndustrialMech manufacturer Industrial Giants Manufacturers.[4]

History[edit]

In the wake of the Blackout, Mirach suffered economically. Unrest, fomented in part by Minister of Information Elora Rimonova, damaged MBA member company interests. By April 3133, the Mirach Business Association had started to form its own private military in secret, centered around armed IndustrialMechs.[5] When Elora and Legate Calvilena Tortorelli launched a military coup on 3 May, the MBA fought to support Governor Sergio Ortega. With the MBA's help, Ortega fended off the coup, securing Elora's defeat on 12 May.[6] All armed IndustrialMechs were transferred to Ortega's First Cossack Lancers in the aftermath.[1]

In 3135, despite MBA resistance, Bannson Universal Unlimited acquired All World Comm.[7]
