Variants
In the Mech Warrior dark age series of novels (specifically the Wolf Hunters Book) The Neanderthal is considerd to use both Ferro-Fibrous and EndoSteel. The battle mech is 90 tons, mounts 2 Gauss rifles and has a Mace instead of a Hatchet. Due to its low heat build up it uses only single heat sinks.
