History
In 2765, the SLS Palatine was serving as the flagship of the Star League Defense Force Sixteenth Fleet under the command of Admiral El'dinar Meeks. The SLS Palatine led the heavyweight Sixteenth Fleet into the border region between the Capellan Confederation and Federated Suns in the wake of the war between the two nations that lasted from 2760 to 2762, a deployment ordered by General Aleksandr Kerensky to prevent a future flare-up of the same kind. The importance placed on the Sixteenth's deployment was such that the Palatine and the rest of the fleet spent the entire first year of the Periphery Uprising in the region, only deploying forward into the Taurian Concordat in the second year of the war.[1]
