Overview[edit]
Phoenix Heavy Industries entered BattleMech manufacturing in the 3010s, as part of Hanse Davion's efforts to manage the threat of Michael Hasek-Davion. With the help of Hanse's staff, as part of an effort to distract Hasek-Davion with an UrbanMech replacement project, Phoenix Heavy Industries submitted the successful proposal for the UM-R90 SuburbanMech alongside Hammerstorm Electronics Corporation. Hasek-Davion responded by sending agents to disrupt PHI and steal the SuburbanMech plans, slowing the production of factory-fresh SuburbanMechs to a crawl while enabling UrbanMech refits across the Capellan March.[1]
