In 2763, a bandit force of regimental size attacked the world. During the fighting, the bandits killed the prized Lipizzaner horse color-guard of the 272nd BattleMech Division. The commanding officer of the 272nd believed that the bandits purposefully set fire to the horses breeding grounds and stables as they were the only recognized foundation line to be found off of Terra and Vipaava. In the effort to save the horses, the bandit forces were able to escape though the 272nd is still aggressively hunting for the perpetrators.[18]
