Description[edit]
A Pocket Transcriber is a small computer with an integrated microphone and dedicated voice-recognition software. These computers can record dictation or record and convert it into text, with internal memory space for six hours or 100,000 words of text. It also incorporates a printer for printing dictation as spoken. If saved as text the data can be uploaded to a personal computer or, as is the case with many interplanetary news reporters, directly to an HPG transmitter.[1]
