Planet History

Early History

When Shiro Kurita launched his invasion of the Principality of Rasalhague in an attempt to annex the Principality and add it to the Draconis Combine during the 2330s and 2340s the brutalities inflicted by the Combine forces were such that many of the survivors fled from the Principality. In some instances, survivors from one or more Principality worlds banded together to found new colonies. Craftsmen and artists from both Predlitz and Kufstein joined with technicians from St. John and engineers from New Bergen to settle the worlds of Bensinger, Steelton and Toland. All three worlds were on the outer reaches of settled human space, cold and icy worlds that would subsequently be courted by the growing Rim Worlds Republic.[4]

In October 2529 Welkens Nordd was born on Predlitz.[citation needed]

Succession Wars

Around 3034 8th Rasalhague Regulars escaped to Predlitz. On March Marcus Kurita was assassinated on planet surface by Ninyu Kerai Indrahar.

Operation REVIVAL

Predlitz was invaded in September 3050 by Clan Ghost Bear as a part of Operation REVIVAL, the Clan invasion of the Inner Sphere. The 332nd Assault Cluster attacked Predlitz with two Trinaries, the 469th Assault and 2133rd Striker Trinaries. The defenders on Predlitz consisted of three Rasalhagian Free Divisions, the Seventeenth, Twentieth and Thirty-first, a grand total of two armor regiments and a battalion of BattleMechs. The two Ghost Bear Trinaries represented an overwhelming force, but the Free Divisions attempted to fight a mobile defense, moving swiftly between supply caches; each Free Division made its own stand and was swiftly overwhelmed, with the final blow falling near a region of cliffs known as Billy's Tears. The 2133rd Striker Trinary located a supply cache that none of the Free Divisions had used by that point, and staged an ambush that crushed the last Free Division forces as they attempted to get at their supplies.[1]

In 3062 Clan Hell's Horses raided Predlitz, although exact extend of damage is unknown.[citation needed]

Planet moon - Krakau

Draconis Combine prison camp "Camp 97" was located on planet moon until 27th century. Later on a thriving Mining colony was established on a moon by Poles naming the globe "Krakau" (from ancient earth Polish city Kraków) with capital city Neuwarschau (New Warshaw, from Polish Capital city Warsaw). Capital city was bombed with nuclear weapons during First Succession War bringing an end to the commercial operations there. DCMS resumed mining operations on a smaller scale after the war building also an Aerospace base to protect, now the military, installation. During Ronin Wars moon became occupied by ronin forces threatening moon destruction with gigantic nuclear core build under it's surface. Crisis was ended by intervention of 1st Tyr.[citation needed]
