Richard O'Cieran was a Jump Infantry Major in the Kell Hounds mercenary outfit.
History[edit]
Richard O'Cieran was born on Hamilton in 2976 and attended the Blackjack School of Conflict. O'Cieran learned of the many weaknesses 'Mechs had and how infantry could exploit them. As his senior project at the academy, he created a computer-simulated Jump Infantry raid on a medium 'Mech company, destroying half the 'Mechs while only taking two infantry casualties. After he graduated, he joined the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces, though he was never given the authority to use his Jump Infantry plans and after his service time was over, he resigned and became a mercenary. When he heard the Kell Hounds were recruiting, he explained the strength of Jump Infantry at great length and convinced the Kell Brothers to sign his company on. He was married until 3022, when his wife died in an aircar accident.[1]
