Richard O'Garrity was born on Algedi, a planet he fled in 3036 after murdering the parents of his loved in a fit of rage.
After some drifting he landed in Westerhand and started fighting in the games. In 3040 he won his 'Mech in a duel.
When Ilkwan Stables was formed in Westerhand he was able to convince Benjamin Tariq that his knowledge of the games would be an asset (which it has), even if the faith of his parents was somewhere lackluster. He spends a lot of his time out of the cockpit with Robert Gaston watching and commenting on duels for study.[1]
He participated in the challenge from the Iron Knights in Garringer continent to get revenge from his stablemaster.[2]
The Iron Knights won the fight thanks to the full-scale battles they were still used to. They destroyed the six 'Mechs belonging to Ilhwan Stables, but they didn't look much the winners, loosing several MechWarriors, their commanding officer among them. Only MechWarrior Rukaya survided, and she was castigated from the stable barely two hours after returning to Victory City.
He died during that fight.[3]
