Planetary Info

Rockland is a small planet with large mountain range across the surface which gave it its name. Most of its population is concentrated on the southern continent called Granite, which is where the capital city is. The northern continent, Limerock, has numerous spread-out settlements concentrated on mining and quarrying.[1]

Rockland was invaded in March 3050 by Clan Smoke Jaguar with two stars of 'Mechs which crushed the Rockland People’s Army within minutes. The Jaguars used the experience of Rockland's people to create numerous monuments which were spread across their entire territory.[1]

In 3061 the ComStar 1st Division moved its HQ to Rockland.[citation needed]

Planetary History

Clan Invasion

Clan Smoke Jaguar invaded Rockland during the Clan Invasion, which was defended only by the Rockland People's Army. Determined to make their stand on the patch of land which served as a memorial to their freedom, the RPA chose Liberty Park to confront Alpha and Bravo Stars of the Skyriders Keshik. Their valiant fight would last but minutes as the Smoke Jaguar's heavy OmniMechs completely decimated the defenders shortly after landing.[32]

Operation Bulldog

Rockland was invaded in the third wave of Operation Bulldog by the Eleventh and Sixteenth Legions of Vega, Com Guard's 91st Division, Stirling's Fusiliers, and the Northwind Hussars. The defending Tenth Garrison Cluster fought little and instead chose to retreat off-world.[33]
