Biography
Captain Rollin Stafford is a proud, sometimes arrogant man. His grandfather was made Baron of Swale on Cherid for his part in the Cheridian Uprising, and he is fiercely proud of his title and lands.
When he has the impression that his wife had been seduced by Ernst Lang (a mechwarrior from Ryder's Medium Lance of McKinnon's Raiders), he challenged that mechwarrior to a duel. The result at that time was inconclusive because of the apparrance of Captain Ian McKinnon with his Marauder[1]
After six months builing up his hate, he was lucky to be assiged to the same planet as McKinnin's Raiders, Grovel III, and was able to "arrange" another duel with Ernst. He had learned from a friend that Ernst Lang Rifleman was damaged on the right side and he intended to exploit that. They did met in Vashner Flats below Groveld III's Seven cities though their match was affected by an unexpected raid from Kurita troops.
The fight was supposed to be to death (at least from Stafford's side), and Ersnt Lang survived for sure as he continued fighting for McKinnon's Raiders, but it could be that Ersnt just destroyed Stafford's Griffin without killing him. Nothing is known from him afterwards.
Death and Legacy
No information is currently known regarding his death, though the scenario tells us that victory is won by either player with the death of one of the contenders.
