Planetary History

Clan Invasion

In May of 3050, Clan Jade Falcon invaded Romulus as part of the Second Wave of Operation Revival, sending the 1st Falcon Striker Cluster to confront the Romulus Militia. Equipped with super-heavy combat vehicles and heavy BattleMechs but lacking aerospace support the militia assumed defensive positions with the capital Romulus City. Despite the ferocity of their defense the militia was eventually destroyed, suffering 90% losses, and much of the city reduced to rubble.[38]

The Jihad

Romulus was conquered again during the Jihad, when Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon holdings in the Inner Sphere in early 3071. Romulus was invaded by the Ice Hellions between the 7th and 28th of June 3071, but the Ice Hellion invasion stalled as heavy fighting continued on Romulus and other worlds throughout July 3071.[25][26][28][29]
