History
Captain Gregor Rubinsky formed the command during the 3030's with soldiers form Tikonov, New Hessen and Tigress. There first contract was to provide security to the Earthwerks plant on Tikonov. Later the unit joined ranks with the Khorsakhov's Cossacks. The demi brigade signed a contract with the St. Ives military. The contract was renewd the next 25 years. During the Capellan wars the regiment suffered heavy looses through an attack with nerve gas on Indicass. After the war, they left the Compact as a separate command from the other Cossacks and signed on to serve the LAAF, who put them on the recently liberated planet Blackjack.
After a intensive training cycle, the time came to prove the learned lessons when the Falcons’ Third Swoop Cluster landed in 3069. The battle was fought hard. Each side send Head Hunters and used other tactics with success. Only the reinforcement of the Falcon side changed the tide of the battle. The mercs surrendered the planet to the Jade Falcons and lifted off for Lyran space for rest and refit.
On 3079, Rubinsky Light Horse still garrisoned the border planet Melissia, together with 15th Lyran Regulars, and have less then half of regimental worth[1]
In 3080, on the planet Graus, saKhan of clan Jade Falcon - Uvin Buhallin been killed in Rubinsky Light Horses flanking attack, but later, in the same year, the galaxy commander Diane Anu drove Horsemen out from Graus in two weeks.[2]
Officers
The colonel Marko Rubinsky had kept the regiment together, but without capable heir, (His son, Tamas incapable of piloting mech now) he planted 3rd Batt. CO Lt. Colonel Li Tran as his successor. (He been killed by falcons later[3]). Daughter of capellan' duchess Candace Liao, major Cassandra Allard-Liao was given command of First Battalion, therefore allowing Rubinsky to form a separate command company. In the same 3069, major Cassandra Liao and colonel Marco' son, Tamas, married and sired a child.
Tactics
The unit fight like a cavalry unit. Repeated attacks/reatreates by lighter machines with concentration of fire from heavy units in afar.
Support
For the normal circumstances (other then prolonging campaigns) the technical staff of Horsemen is sufficient.

- The unit contains mainly heavies and medium for cavalry combat. Half of the machines are upgraded. Have predominance for Davion-built Phoenix Hawks and Shadow Hawks 'mechs.
