Schattenkrieg

Schattenkrieg ("Shadow War") was a planned trilogy for the new series of FanPro novels. The trilogy was itself to be part of the Great Game cycle which in turn is a part of the Golden Age cycle (Das Goldene Zeitalter).

Set during the Star League era around the year 2600, the Schattenkrieg trilogy was to narrate an undercover agent war between the Federated Suns and the Draconis Combine escalating beyond control and into a shooting war.

Only the first book of the projected trilogy was published so far: En Passant, subtitled Schattenkrieg I (2007). It is simultaneously the 15th book in the FanPro novel series, the 5th in the Golden Age cycle, the 2nd in the Great Game sub-cycle and the 1st of the abortive Schattenkrieg trilogy. The book ends with a cliffhanger, and the line "To be continued."
