Skyfog is the natural moon of a gas giant.[1]

Planetary History[edit]

Skyfog was originally settled by a Star League scientific expedition that was studying the evolution of habitable moons around gas giants. The moon is tectonically active, covered in shield volcanoes. In addition, radiation from the nearby gas giant frequently punches through the weak magnetic field, and the system primary (a small red sun) often has flares of solar activity that drive the radiation count even higher.[1]

Though the science colony had over two million people at one point, Skyfog was abandoned in 2769 when the Amaris Coup ended the supply runs that the colonists needed to survive. The moon was rediscovered by Interstellar Expeditions in 3003, and as of 3095 excavations and studies were still ongoing.[1]
