History

Stone's Liberators was originally formed by Andrew Redburn from the warriors liberated from Word of Blake prison camps. They were the first troops to land on Terra during that assault[1], and were a key unit in freeing the world from the Blakists. They landed on Terra as part of the Geneva task force, and proceeded to fight their way across Europe. Elements of the Liberators were also part of the assault on Mars, operating with Clan forces.[2]

During the siege of Geneva the Liberators fought the Blakist's Fourth Division. The Fourth broke out of Geneva and led the Liberators on a chase through Europe, eventually destroying the Blakists at the Krupp Armaments headquarters in Budapest.[3]

The Liberators also played a key role in the fighting between the Republic and the Free Worlds League in 3081, and later assaulted Tikonov and Liao.[4]

In 3085 Stone's Liberators was stationed on Kansu in Prefecture V of the Republic of the Sphere.[5]

During the Capellan Crusades of 3111-3113, they led the Republic's counterattack into Capellan space. They had to withdraw to Republic space before the Crusades came to an end due to heavy losses, but they had rebuilt by 3145.[6] They were stationed on Rigil Kentarus in 3145[7], where they were training in orbital combat drop tactics.

Officers

Their first commander was Andrew Redburn.[4]

As of 3085 the commanding officer was Colonel Su Demir.[5]

During the stard of the Capellan Crusades in 3111 the commanding officer is Colonel Jerome Edwards.[8]

During the Capellan Crusades, Stone's Liberators became skilled in orbital combat drops. They maintained this specialty through extensive training.[6]
