Defense Regiments[edit]

I believe there is overwhelming evidence that 201st and the other Luthien Defense Regiments are, in fact, (primarily) CONVENTIONAL units and not battlemech units. If you look at the math of how many units defended Luthien, how likely is it that the Combine could suddenly create 10 battlemech regiments we had never heard of on the fly? I think these units had (at most) a battalion of mechs, with the rest being a mix of armor and infantry. Can someone back me up on this? ClanWolverine101 19:23, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

The source for the information should say one way or the other. If it does not, then it should be removed. --Scaletail 01:08, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
The Luthien scenario pack is ambiguous. A scenario appears in the book where one of the Defense Regiments is featured, and it seems to be a mix of mechs, armor and infantry. ClanWolverine101 01:31, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Page 66 has 143rds 1st Battalion as a Combined arms unit of Mechs and Jump Infantry... No mention of armor, but on page 25 the units are just listed as their respective strengths and experience ratings unlike the 1st Amori Militia that is detailed as a Combined arms unit. --Dmon 01:38, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
