Massive Battles Listing[edit]

I can see a lot of battles on a given day, where "Free Worlds League attacks planet 1", another line reads "Free Worlds League attacks planet 2", and so on. Are there plans to reduce these entries into single lines, so that it would read "Free Worlds League attacks planet 1, planet 2, and planet 3"? Nuclear-Fridge (talk) 02:33, 8 December 2014 (PST)

That is in an effort to stay consistent with the "one link per line" policy. Perhaps we should discuss allowing exceptions like this that would greatly help with the flow and look of the pages. I'm in favor of changing it. -BobTheZombie (talk) 09:45, 8 December 2014 (PST)
I'd like to say something about this. These were actual entries into the Timeline of Jihad books where planets fell. Since the Jihad isn't a organized war, but hodge-podge of different conflicts happening with backdrop of Word of Blake's Protectorate rising and falling. If you guys like try unify the Jihad Era little bit better, with entries coming from one source, i'm agreeable with this. The Free Worlds League / Lyran thing are actually part of two Operations in one border war. How you'd like re-arrange this so it still shows up on the timeline, is your choice. between you two, your both most active editors here. -- Wrangler (talk) 09:58, 8 December 2014 (PST)
The best way to resolve this would be if there were some detailed articles on the military operations and the various attacks and counterattacks in each, because that would allow the multiple entries to be compressed down to a single line item. The problem with that is twofold; firstly, the detail is spread across several books, and secondly, someone needs to sit down and write the articles. It's the sort of thing I'd quite like to do - and I did rather become Mr. Jihad on here when I slogged through all the timeline entries - but it's something that takes time. I used to do that, I've gotten busier as of last 12 months so I can only do less complex articles now, such as new vehicle entry, adding info to a planetary history, etc. However, Things bounded together with this border action was written up by Neufeld in the link I provided in my last entry. If need be, we can simply bound these together into that article, which apparently wasn't written in way that satisfied editors put the clean up template on it. Alternative is we can just put entry in the planet's history that these military actions happened and write up the details (if there are any) in those so it would validate those links. -- Wrangler (talk) 12:00, 8 December 2014 (PST)
All of the planet articles mentioned in these year pages for the Jihad conflicts should have details already in them for these battles and raids - when I worked through the Jihad timelines, I updated the planet articles first, then the year pages. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 13:09, 8 December 2014 (PST)
