Research Notes-Covers
I have discovered that this box front has been used with three different backs. Two covers for BattleTech Reinforcements and one cover, ironically, for BattleTech Reinforcements 2.
I suspect that File:BattleTech-Reinforcements-back-droids.jpg is an early version of the back of this product due to the reference to BattleDroids. For reference's sake the barcode (found on the bottom edge panel of the box cover) to this version of the product is posted here.
I am recording this here for the time being as it seems better suited for use as a reference than for use in the gallery. This info will become important for showing the cover was also used for a version of BattleTech Reinforcements 2) but with a different barcode. --Dude RB (talk) 09:15, 16 January 2023 (EST)
Addendum: I also found two examples of the product that used the back File:BattleTech-Reinforcements-back.jpg. Both had barcodes with the same info as that shown here. While not an iron-clad proof, that does suggest that the barcode info was consistent for those two versions. --Dude RB (talk) 09:24, 16 January 2023 (EST)
Retraction: It appears that the "version" I saw online was a box with the front coming from BattleTech Reinforcements and the back coming from BattleTech, Second Edition. The box back in question is File:BattleTech 2nd Edition-back.jpg.
