range v punch

The RAC/5 has a shorter range but has the potential to do more damage then an LB 10-X. So to state the LB 10-X gives a punch advantage is innacurate. The LBX gives a range advantage. I have corrected this.CJ 18:45, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

serial numbers

I noticed serial number were set to name a specific modification. I always thought variants weren't named by a specific 'mech serial number but rather with a variant name. Am I wrong ? As I dislike removing inofrmation on-the-fly, I ask the community. --FIVE-one 14:34, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

As of now, until there are proper record sheets the SNs are the only way we have to track any variantsCJ 18:44, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

image

I'd like to add another image from this 'mech, side by side with the other, as this 'mech has only two type of figure : one with double seem-like-autocannons (with ammo band, the one that was just added) and another with a single autocannon and an ammo clip on it, with the left arm with hand actuators (the same version Ezekiel Crow piloted). Am I authorise to proceed ? --FIVE-one 06:49, 9 June 2008 (CDT)

Sure! I think that in keeping with what has already been done, put the main model as the image in the InfoBox, then add the variant image under the "variants" section. See Archer for an example of what I've done. If we keep adding variant images, it might be worthwhile to make a real guideline for it on Project BattleMechs. --Scaletail 21:11, 9 June 2008 (CDT)
Thanks for your answer. I always wondered if I could in fact. May I do the same for other 'mechs ? Like 'mechs or omnimechs with different visuals depending on version, and so following the evolution of a design version by version ? --FIVE-one 12:45, 10 June 2008 (CDT)
Be bold! --Scaletail 18:27, 10 June 2008 (CDT)
