Expansion

I've been re-re-reading Hunters of the Deep by Randall Bills. The book is a nice starter guide to the Sea Foxes. I've been writing up notes so i could prepare for article on some of the main characters of the book. I've been looking at the main articles for the Clan Sea Fox and it certainly needs to be spruced up. At current time, this book is only one that has indept material on the structure and some details of this clan. My question is, should I proceed to give article some substance? I won't be able to immediately put a indept expansion on everything, but i will be able to give more structure. Such as the groupings, such as Khanate, Aimag, (both groups), which can be seen as Galaxies but not necessary military formations. Problem is, if i proceed, how would it be listed here. Since this is unique to this clan. Example: Delta Aimag (Spina Khanate) The Spina is the name of the Khanate, while Aimag is the smaller group. Any suggestions? For simplicity i would suggest the formations be listed like (Aimag like Clusters & Khanate like Galaxies). Currently only two Aimag & two Khanate are known.) -- Wrangler 16:23, 18 May 2009 (PDT)

Okay, then. However, I'm not sure what kind name category it should be. Sea Fox Fleets? Also, i'm going put the Sea Foxes in their own Clan Category. Thou the Sea Foxes were Diamond Sharks, i don't believe they should mingle two since 2nd Sea Fox Clan is radically different from its predecessors. -- Wrangler 14:31, 19 May 2009 (PDT)
What's wrong with the category it is in now? --Scaletail 16:54, 19 May 2009 (PDT)
Well, the Khanate & Aimags are not military formations. Also, Sea Foxes aren't the Diamond Sharks anymore and their structured completely different from way Sharks were. The categories are listed as Clan Military Commands. Clan Sea Fox's formations are considered to be solely as merchant fleets. Unlike the Diamond Sharks, Foxes don't have any named military formations like Galaxies or Clusters. From information i've gone over from Touring the Stars and Hunters of the Deep, they don't have any Galaxies or Clusters. Not permanent ones. This why i'm asking to setup Clan Sea Fox's category as seperate category from the Diamond Sharks. I think it better keep to current Diamond Shark listings seperated from the Sea Foxes. If you think its less confusion, i will list the Khanate and Aimag as military commands so keep it more together. I do think that Khanate and Aimag should be kept seperated from Diamond Shark listings -- Wrangler 19:00, 20 May 2009 (PDT)
I'll chime in and voice my opinion that Clan Sea Fox/Diamond Shark should definitely be covered in one single article; suggest that Diamon Shark should redirect to the Sea Fox article as it was an intermediate name. The Clan may have changed/evolved over time to the point that the later Sea Foxes are somewhat different from the Diamond Sharks, but nevertheless they remain the identical same Clan and therefore must be covered in the same article. Others have changed their profile over time as well (MacCarron's Armored Cavalry even changed from a merc unit in the 3025 timeline to a prominent house unit in the 3060s), and nobody would consider splitting their article just because of that. Frabby, If this is going be the. Do you want me to put what i've written up in the existing Sea Fox article, then let someone merge them into bigger article. Touring the Stars information actually pretty extensive on the history of the clan's main actions. I do think the fleet formations should be label as Sea Fox since that only time they've existed. Thats what Clan currently using, likely to continue. The name change was noted to happen in 3100 in Touring the Stars. Please let me know what your guys final opinion is of the Sea Fox Category for the fleets formations. If it should be Sea Fox, and expand the existing Sea Fox Article. I will be done writing it today, I'll post it tomorrow or next day. -- Wrangler 06:53, 21 May 2009 (PDT)
