Jackson Davion

Should I start adding info and references, or...? ClanWolverine101 21:17, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Just step one. I'm working on it right now. --Scaletail 21:29, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Father of Christoffer

I know I read that Jackson is the father of Christoffer Davion and, therefore, grandfather of Julian Davion. I thought this was in Sword of Sedition, but I cannot find the passage. Julian Davion also does not have a citation for this fact. Little help here? --Scaletail 22:46, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Brice Patterson and Public Remarks

Reference 11 (as of this writing) reads: "It stands to reason that Jackson Davion did not brave the blockade of New Avalon twice to travel to and from Markesan just to issue a public statement. Yvonne and Tancred were likely already on Markesan at this point (see Jihad Hot Spots: 3072, p. 98, "All for One!") and Jackson went there to meet with them in person. There is no concrete proof of that, however." If you look at Brice Patterson and the associated source material, it has him, as Jackson Davion's aide, making a public statement on Davion's behalf. Could someone with both sources look at this, see if it resolves the question? Talvin (talk) 20:33, 9 February 2022 (EST)

  • I think I need to clarify that I have not edited Jackson Davion at all at this point. I found the above reference while looking for a good place to link the "orphan" Brice Patterson, and figured I should ask if someone can see a canonical answer by putting the sources side by side. The Jihad Hot Spots: 3072 reference has Admiral William Bruecker making the statement, not Jackson Davion, if that is any help. --HF22 (talk) 23:13, 9 February 2022 (EST)

Oh, wait, I see it now. The Dawn of the Jihad reference has Jackson Davion himself giving a 30 minute press conference himself on 17 March 3068 - It wasn't via any spokesman. It also explicitly notes that "Following his press conference, Marshal Davion met with AFFS senior officers here on Markesan before leaving the world, presumably to brave the Blakist blockade of New Avalon and return to the Fox’s Den."
If it wasn't really him, it would have needed to have been be a body double, which is possible I suppose but we don't have any evidence for it.--HF22 (talk) 23:19, 9 February 2022 (EST)
Thank you for checking that for me. As for the reference questioning things, I am not going to touch that further. As for what to do with Brice Patterson in relation to this page, I will see if I can find some non-controversial way to slide him in here and call it done. Thanks again!
