Talk:Machine Gun (Light)(Support Weapon)/RPG3e

Hi PerkinC, How come your writing the article on Light Machine Gun seperately from the regular Light Machine Gun? I like your format, but name might replace the old Light Machine Gun thing if its superior. -- Wrangler 11:05, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Two-Seven seperate weapons actually... the articles that I am writing are on the CBT RPG 3rd Edition Scale with direct conversions up to the BattleArmour Weapon. The Canon does not (PTB are vehemently opposed, actually) support having the Infantry/BattleArmour weapon directly linked to the BattleMech Weapon. The AP*D6 and RPG Ranges would be the same for all Variants, with the BT Damage varying with the number of Shots in a Burst. Damage would vary for the Weapon dependant on the number of shots fired in a burst. And the Mass of the Weapon Featured in the Article varies with whither its Infantry Support (15 Shots), BA LMG (50 Shots), BA MG (Circa 80 Shots), or BA HMG (Circa 150 Shots), and even whither or not its Clan or InnerSphere. For My Purposes, I am linking the RPG Light MG, RPG Portable MG, and the RPG Semi-Portable MG with the BattleTech Light MG, the Support MG with the BattleTech MG, and the RPG Semi-Portable MG with the BattleTech Heavy MG. If Advisable I could do each of the LosTech Machine Gun Weapons to Each of the BattleTech/BattleField MG classes, but the Canon only indirectly supports this. I am probably streaching the comfort zone by linking the RPG LMG and the RPG P-MG to the BT Light MG when the canon has only Expressly linked the SP-MG to the BT Light MG... Until you realize that the Classic BattleTech Companion uses the number 50 for all its ammo sizes and this is correct only for the RPG Light MG and BT Light MG. --Cameron 17:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

I will take your word on it. I'm not up on the converstion rules for the RPG. You may want clearify article what rule set the weaponry involved with. By the way something wrong your articles's info box. It has "{{{name}}}" instead of the weapon your talking about. I could find out what was causing it. Good luck -- Wrangler 17:40, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I am Well Aware of the issue with the Issue in the Info Box, and it is driving me batty, i will try to repair that at home over the long weekend... it has to do with having to rebuild the info box from scratch rather than just doing the part that I changed... Help with the infantry Weapon Info Box would definately be appreciated. --Cameron 18:28, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I think that i have the infobox so that it works, now going to have bugfix the Semi-Portable and Support MG articles--Cameron 19:28, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
