Split

I understand that these two nations are very closely linked together, but, since they are separate nations, shouldn't they each have their own article? --Scaletail 16:27, 23 April 2009 (PDT)

I do agree with the split, but the disambiguation page is useless as it combines two unrelated topics into one. Like a disambiguation page "BattleMechs and AeroSpace fighters" routing you to either BattleMechs or Aerospace Fighters. I see no reason to keep it, especially since nothing links here. I understand why you might want to separate these two articles. I wrote them together because the BattleTech source material indicates culturally and militarily these entities are very similar, with shared history and even blood. Nueva Castile and the Umayyad Caliphate are unlike most other factions, for example the Federated Suns and the Draconis Combine, because of this tight bond. The most obvious exception is Comstar and the Word of Blake, which of course require separation, yet share many common traits. --S.gage 00:21, 6 May 2009 (EDT)
